About: ImpactLife is a not-for-profit, independent, community blood center founded in 1974 and providing lifesaving blood products and services to more than 130 hospitals, and emergency medical services in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. ImpactLife is one of the top 12 blood providers in the U.S. supporting the needs of patients, hospitals, and medical researchers throughout the country. Our mission is supported by more than 200,000 volunteer blood donations each year.

Michael Parejko, CEO
Mike Parejko began his career as a medical technologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 1988. He later transitioned into business development roles for a medical technology supplier before returning to blood banking as Indiana Blood Center’s (IBC) in 2004, ascending to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2011. He was named Chief Executive Officer of ImpactLife in 2014.
Mike is active in leadership roles serving both the blood industry and community, including membership on the Board of Directors for America’s Blood Centers (President 2019-2021) Blood Centers of America (Current Chair), National Blood Collaborative, National Blood Testing Cooperative, IT Synergistics, Robert Young Mental Health Center (Chair 2025), and the John Deere Classic Board of Directors.
